How Does Exp.Share Work in Pokémon Omega Ruby?

When you're playing through Pokémon games like Omega Ruby and want your team members to level up faster alongside their main partner, one item that can greatly help is the Exp.Sharing device known as Exp.Share.

Exp.Share is a special Poké Ball-like item found throughout various regions within the game. When held by any member of your party, this device allows them to earn half of all experience points (EXP) gained from battles and other activities compared to what they would normally receive without it equipped.

This means if you have two Pokémon in battle - say, Pikachu as your main lead character's partner alongside Squirtle who isn't doing much else besides following him around while another trainer has their own team of three others also using Exp.Share on themselves but not actively participating anywhere near them during combat situations... then whenever either one lands an attack (regardless whether it hits or misses), half of that particular move's damage dealt will go directly into BOTH trainers' respective EXP meters instead just going straight up towards only whichever Pokémon actually threw out whatever move was used last!
